Gallup: Only 7% of Americans have confidence in Congress
A new poll shows that public confidence in US Congress has sunk to a historic low. According to the latest Gallup poll, only 7 percent of US citizens said they have faith in the Capitol Hill. Ninety-three percent of the respondents said they perceive the institution has done nothing to address the country's problems. They said Congress is gripped by partisan gridlock and is struggling to pass even routine measures. This is the first time Gallup has ever measured confidence in a major U-S institution in the single digits.
