Iranian men’s national volleyball team has been defeated by host US in the second match of the 2015 Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) World League.

On Sunday, the US volleyball squad hit Iran 3-1 in a Pool B match in the Galen Center arena at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.

The Iranian volleyball team lost the first two sets both 25-16 as the performance by Matt Anderson, Murphy Troy, and Maxwell Holt made it very difficult for the visitors to compete with the host rival.

The Iranians, however, put up a better performance and took the lead from the very beginning of the third set, until they won it 25-20.

The US volleyball team demonstrated a better performance in the fourth set and managed to win it 25-20.

On Saturday, the US, the champion of the 2014 round of the games, managed to beat the Iranian squad 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 23-25, 25-23).

Iran is set to take on Poland on June 5 and 6 and will play against Russia on June 13 and 14.
